Whoa. Acrylics are a lot brighter than oils, aren't they? Or does it depend? Which do you prefer to use? Which is easiest? I want to try getting back into it and that ... but I am not sure which to start with.
But boy... I think I'm leanind towards the acrylic. Those colors are so VIBRANT!
Acrylics aren't inherently brighter than oils. It all just depends on your paint mixing and colour saturation during process, or so I'm finding out, having recently gone back to school for traditional media. However, I'm just a student with Traditional work.
That said; kudos to you, David-McCamant! Your acrylics are indeed so vibrant and sharp of line. The saturation reminds me of the brothers Hildebrandt, but with a tasteful palette instead of garish. This is the kind of thing I want to do with acrylics, once I'm done with school again.
